隨著時代的變遷與使用者習慣的改變，公共圖書館空間規劃及閱讀氛圍營造亦應有所調整。然囿於經費的限制，在無法增建新館的前提下，如何透過重新規劃現有軟硬體設備與內外部裝潢，達到營造閱讀新氣象的目標，是公共圖書館應思考與研究的議題。
Public library space should be replanned as users’ habits change with time. Because there are many restrictions on expenditure for public libraries building new libraries may not be a viable option. Therefore, how to improve library reading environment by redecorating and replanning libraries’ furnishing and equipment would be an issue worth to be taken into consideration.
