In order to provide quality information services to the newly arrived immigrant residents from abroad, the Taipei Public Library especially establishes the Multicultural Information Center on the Ninth Floor at the Main Library.
Brief Introduction
The Multicultural Information Center is a comfortable space for reading, learning and recreation that provides books and other materials in the following eight languages: Vietnamese, Thai, Hindi, Indonesian, Tagalog, Malay, Korean and Burmese. Collection materials cover many subject areas, including language and literature, daily living, healthcare, leisure, and so on.
Subjects
We welcome friendly yet competent individuals from domestic and abroad, and fluent in the following languages: Vietnamese, Thai, Hindi, Indonesian, Tagalog, Malay, Korean and Burmese. Applicants must be above 18 years of age.
Content of Service
1.Assistance in recommending reading materials and Internet resources from the abovementioned countries;
2.Assistance in the arrangement and reshelving of book materials;
3.Assistance in the translation of documents from and into the abovementioned languages; and
4.Assistance in guiding the use of library and indexical resources to newly arrived immigrant residents from abroad.

Please arrive in Multicultural Information Center on 9F in the Main Library, Taipei Public Library.
